Students in 8th grade created some great weavings! People learned to weave thousands of years ago using natural grasses, leafstalks, palm leaves, and thin strips of wood. Students could choose a traditional weaving design or a modern design of their choice. America, UK, and Mickie....all friends!
Students learned about Navajo rugs; from the shearing of sheep for wool, to weaving on cardboard looms. Today weaving ranks as a major industry in many countries. Checkout my Thinglink on Weaving.
